Subspecies
All members of genus form superspecies. Range meets that of Crestless Curassow (Mitu tomentosum) in central Colombia, without any evidence of interbreeding. Also reported to be marginally sympatric with Razor-billed Curassow (Mitu tuberosum) at some localities in Peru.

No subspecies.
