Subspecies
All members of genus form superspecies. Range meets that of Crestless Curassow (Mitu tomentosum ) in central Colombia, without any evidence of interbreeding. Also reported to be marginally sympatric with Razor-billed Curassow (Mitu tuberosum ) at some localities in Peru.
No subspecies.
