Subspecies
Phylloscopus davisoni (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior) and Kloss's Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus ogilviegranti) following Olsson et al. (2005).
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior).
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
disturbans (La Touche, 1922) - Breeds south-eastern China (southern Sichuan south to south-eastern Yunnan, east to northern Guizhou, south-eastern Hunan and Guangdong) and north-western Vietnam. Non-breeding in southern part of breeding range and in Indochina. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior).
ogilviegranti (La Touche, 1922) - South-eastern,c Sichuan, south-eastern Yunnan, to south-central, southern Vietnam. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior).
klossi (Riley, 1922) - Southern Laos and south-central and southern Vietnam. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of White-tailed Leaf-Warbler (Phylloscopus intensior).
