Bolivian Blackbird (Oreopsar bolivianus) [XC683252]
by Dante Buzzetti from Lampaya, Cochabamba, Bolivia (flight call, song)

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Mitochondrial DNA data indicate that this species could be sister to Bay-winged Cowbird (Agelaioides badius), but in general aspect, skeletal morphology and behaviour it also resembles Chopi Blackbird (Gnorimopsar chopi). Proposal to merge present genus into Agelaioides would require name of present species changing to Agelaioides oreopsar, as name "bolivianus" preoccupied therein.
