First Described (Guide)
(Bonaparte, 1856)

Habitat
Evergreen, semi-evergreen and bamboo forest, secondary growth and scrub, often near roads and tracks through the forest. From sea-level - 500 m, but occasionally up to 800 m, and perhaps 1,150 m.

Range (Guide)

Cambodia (B) (NB), Laos (B) (NB), Thailand (B) (NB), Vietnam (B) (NB).

Eastern Burma through north, central and eastern Thailand, central and southern Laos and northern and central Kampuchea to central Vietnam.

Population
Estimated population is 5,000 - 10,000 (2010) and stable.

Status LC
Habitat destruction and degradation through logging is the main threat.
