Habitat
Subtropical and tropical dry forest, subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. From sea-level - 700 m.
Antigua and Barbuda (B), Dominica (B), Guadeloupe (B), Martinique (B), Montserrat (B), Netherlands Antilles (B), Puerto Rico (B), St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia (B), Virgin Islands (British) (B) (NB), Virgin Islands (U.S.) (B) (NB).
Puerto Rico and Virgin Is through most of Lesser Antilles from Saba and Barbuda south to St Lucia (absent from Anguilla, St Martin, Barbados, St Vincent, Grenadines and Grenada).

Subspecies
Like most of congeners, formerly placed in genus Oreopeleia . Forms a superspecies with Key West Quail-Dove (Geotrygon chrysia ).
