Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forest. From sea-level - 1,700 m.
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela.
Breeds in south-eastern Brazil (Rio de Janeiro south to Rio Grande do Sul), probably also in north-eastern Argentina (Misiones) and eastern Paraguay; migrants widely scattered in Paraguay, eastern Bolivia, central Brazil and north to southern Venezuela during austral winter.
