Habitat
Subtropical and tropical high altitude grassland. From 3,000 - 3,900 m, occasionally down to 2,900 m.

Range (Guide)

Colombia, Venezuela.

Extreme western Venezuela (Páramo de Tamá) and eastern Andes of Colombia (south to Cundinamarca).

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).
