Habitat
Subantarctic forest.

Range (Guide)
New Zealand (E) (B).

Status EX
The last records were in 1906 from Little Mangere, New Zealand. Extinction was probably a combination of habitat destruction, predation by introduced rats and cats, and over-collection for the Museum trade.
