Subspecies
No subspecies.
Genus closely related to Antilophia, and occasional intergeneric hybrids with Helmeted Manakin (Antilophia galeata) have been recorded. Has apparently hybridized also with Pin-tailed Manakin (Ilicura militaris). All members of present genus suggested by some as forming a superspecies.
