Subspecies
Often treated as conspecific with White-winged Parakeet (Brotogeris versicolurus).
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
behni Neumann, 1931 - Central and southern Bolivia.
chiriri (Vieillot, 1818) - Northern Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina east to north-east, central and south-eastern Brazil (south to São Paulo).
