lutescens Pucherna, 1855 - North-eastern Colombia, Venezuela (except northern and south), the Guianas, and lowlands from eastern Bolivia and north, central and eastern Brazil south to Argentina (south to La Pampa and south-eastern Buenos Aires) and Uruguay.
peruvianus Nicholson, 1878 - Coastal Peru (southern from Trujillo) south to extreme northern Chile (Arica). Considered by some authors to be a distinct species, Peruvian Pipit (Anthus peruvianus).
