Habitat
Subtropical and tropical dry shrubland, dry savanna. From sea-level - 1,700 m.
Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
Vagrant to Grenada.
Eastern Panama and west, northern and central Colombia east through Venezuela to the Guianas, then south through north-eastern and central Brazil (Pará to Pernambuco and south to Mato Grosso) to eastern Bolivia; also islands along northern coast from Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire east to Trinidad and Tobago.
