A domed structure composed of grass ocated in a tree or creeper.
Subspecies
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
- vernayi (Whistler & Kinnear, 1933) - Eastern India (southern Orissa and north-eastern Andhra Pradesh).
- jerdoni (Hume, 1874) - South-western India (southern Karnataka, Kerala and western Tamil Nadu).
- kelaarti (Jerdon, 1863) - Sri Lanka.
