Subspecies
No subspecies.
Chloropsis cochinchinensis (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) has been split into Blue-winged Leafbird (Chloropsis cochinchinensis), Bornean Leafbird (Chloropsis kinabaluensis) and Jerdon's Leafbird (Chloropsis jerdoni) following Wells et al. (2003).
Probably forms a superspecies with Blue-winged Leafbird (Chloropsis cochinchinensis), Bornean Leafbird (Chloropsis kinabaluensis) and Yellow-throated Leafbird (Chloropsis palawanensis) and was for long regarded as a subspecies of Blue-winged Leafbird (Chloropsis cochinchinensis), but differs in bill morphology and plumage details. Wing length size varies, but differences considered insufficient to warrant naming of geographical subspecies.
