Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest and shrubland, dry grassland, dry savanna, plantations. From sea-level - 3000 m.

Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], C�te dIvoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-bissau, Kenya, Lesotho (E) (B), Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania [United Republic of], Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Tropical western Africa patchily from Senegal and central Mali east to Cameroon, and from central Sudan, northern Ethiopia and Somalia south to South Africa.
