Subtropical and tropical lowland dry grassland and shrubland.

Range (Guide)

Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Sudan.

Mauritania and northern Senegal east to Mali, northern Burkina Faso and western Niger, also eastern Chad and central Sudan.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
