Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forest.
Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Côte dIvoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, Uganda.
Vagrant to Liberia.
Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
- luteifrons Verreaux & Verreaux, 1851 - Eastern Sierra Leone, north-eastern Liberia, south-western Ivory Coast, southern Ghana, southern Togo, southern Nigeria and southern Cameroon south to Gabon, PRCongo and north-western Angola, east to southern Central African Republic, northern DRCongo and western Uganda (Semliki Forest).
- alexanderi Ogilvie-Grant, 1907 - Bioko I (Fernando Póo).
