Subspecies
May form a superspecies with Black-winged Myna (Acridotheres melanopterus).
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
burmannicus (Jerdon, 1862) - Myanmar and southern China (extreme south-western Yunnan).
leucocephalus Salvadori & Giglioli, 1870 - Thailand (except north-western and south), Cambodia, central and southern Laos and Vietnam (except north). Considered by some authors to be a distinct species, Vinous-breasted Myna (Acridotheres leucocephalus).
