A bulky cup composed of plant fibres and scales of tree ferns saddled on a thin downsloping branch.
Eggs (Guide)
2; white; 16.5 x 11 mm. Incubation: by female.
Subspecies
Subspecies jamesoni often spelt jamersoni, due to a typographical error present in original description.
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:
henryi Lawrence, 1867 - Costa Rica and western Panama.
jacula Gould, 1850 - Extreme eastern Panama to northern and central Colombia.
jamersoni (Bourcier, 1851) - Andes of south-western Colombia and western Ecuador.
