Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland and montane moist forest. From sea-level - 2,600 m.

Range (Guide)

Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania [United Republic of], Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Vagrant to Eritrea.

Ethiopian Highlands, south-eastern Sudan and central Kenya south to eastern and southern Tanzania and Malawi; and central Mozambique to south-eastern Zimbabwe.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
