Unknown to Bahamas (E) (B), Jamaica (E) (B).
Status EX
Described from a single specimen (in Tring) by Gould in 1860, it is presumably extinct. Destruction of food sources, deforestation of its habitat and predation by introduced mammals may be responsible.

Subspecies
Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Brace's Emerald (Chlorostilbon bracei).
