Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
- musae ! (Forster, 1844) - Western Society Islands.
- garretti ! Holyoak & Thibault, 1978 - Huahine (in Leeward Group of Society Is). Extinct. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Tahiti Reed-Warbler (Acrocephalus caffer).
