Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forest. From sea-level - 550 m.
Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname.
Surinam, French Guiana and north-eastern Amazonian Brazil (Amapá; also one reliable sight record from north of Manaus, in Amazonas).
