Blyth, 1847

Habitat
Rocky areas, subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest, temperate shrubland. From 2,590 - 4,575 m.

Range (Guide)
Afghanistan (B), China (mainland), India, Kazakhstan (B), Kyrgyzstan (B), Mongolia (B), Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia (Asian), Russia (Central Asian) (B), Tajikistan (B), Turkmenistan (B), Uzbekistan.

Breeds south-eastern Kazakhstan (Kharkaralinsk, Tarbagatai, Dzungarian Ala Tau) and Tien Shan east to the Altai and north-western and central China (east to Qilian Mts, in Qinghai), south to Tajikistan (Pamirs), north-eastern Afghanistan and western Himalayas in north-eastern Pakistan (Baluchistan), Kashmir (western Karakorum) and north-western India (Himachal Pradesh). Non-breeding central India (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Bengal south to Maharashtra and northern Andhra Pradesh).

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
