Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland and montane moist forest. From 2,100 - 4,000 m.

Range (Guide)

Bangladesh, Bhutan, China (mainland), India, Myanmar, Nepal.

Himalayas from northern India east to southern China (southern and south-eastern Xizang, south-western Sichuan). Non-breeding also north-eastern India.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
