Habitat
Subtropical and tropical montane moist forest. Also, subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest, lowland dry grassland, heavily degraded former forest, pastureland. From 900 - 2,000 m.
Afghanistan (B), Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan.
Eastern Afghanistan, and western and central Himalayas east to western Arunachal Pradesh. Non-breeding southern India.
