Habitat
Tropical lowland rainforest. From sea-level - 1,000 m.
Papua New Guinea (B) (NB).
New Britain and New Ireland.
 
Population
Estimated population is 10,000 (2010) and decreasing.
Status VU
Habitat destruction and degradation through conversion of lowland forest to oil plantations causing a significant loss of breeding habitat is the main threat.
