Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest, particularly around plantations, and subtropical and tropiccal mangroves, from lowlands to about 1,200 m.

Range (Guide)

Papua New Guinea (B), Solomon Islands (B).

Islands east of New Ireland south through Solomons.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Voice
A harsh, rasping 'zheet-zheet', similar to that of Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus), but louder and harsher.
