Subspecies
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:

jobiensis Meyer, 1874 - Yapen I; north-central New Guinea.
longicaudus A. B. Meyer, 1891 - Lowland forests of eastern New Guinea, west to R Sepik and possibly R Aroa.
