Southern Amazonia, south of Amazon, from eastern and south-eastern Peru (east of R Ucayali) east to central Amazonian Brazil (eastern at least to R Tapajós) and south to northern Bolivia and northern Mato Grosso. Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Long-tailed Woodcreeper (Deconychura longicauda).
