Closed-canopy interior of lowland and foothill humid forests. From sea-level - 800 m.

Range (Guide)

Colombia (B), Ecuador (B), Panama (B), Peru (B).

Eastern Panama through western Colombia and western Ecuador to extreme north-western Peru.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Status VU
Habitat destruction and degradation through conversion to agriculture is the main threat.
