Habitat
Very wet montane forest, occasionally lowland humid forest and patchy secondary growth. From 700 - 1,500 m, occasionally up to 3,000 m.

Range (Guide)

Costa Rica (B) (NB), Panama (B) (NB).

Costa Rica to western Panama.

Population
Estimated population is 2,500 - 9,999 (2010) and decreasing.

Status VU
Habitat destruction and degradation through burning, small-scale logging operations and conversion for intensive agricultural use, is the main threat.
