Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland dry grassland, dry savanna. From sea-level - 1,000 m, occasionally to 1,800 m.
Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania [United Republic of], Uganda.
Vagrant to Oman, South Africa, Zimbabwe.
South-eastern Sudan and north-eastern Uganda, and from north-western Somalia and eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia south to eastern Kenya and north-eastern and central Tanzania.
 
Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).
