Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Gabon, Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania [United Republic of], Uganda, Zambia.

Vagrant to Liberia.

Discontinuously Senegal, Gambia, Liberia and Nigeria east to western Kenya and eastern Tanzania, south to Angola and Zambia.

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
