Vagrant to Bahrain, Gambia, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey.

Forms a superspecies with Pied Crow (Corvus albus) and Somali Crow (Corvus edithae). Sometimes considered conspecific with Somali Crow (Corvus edithae).
