New Caledonia (B).

New Caledonia. Introduced to the neighbouring island of Mar� in the Loyalty Islands (France).

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).

Status LC
Clearance and degradtion of forests is the main threat.

Habits
Forages in pairs or family parties. Flocks of up to 30 has been observed. Uses tools to extract food from holes and crevices.

Voice
A soft, high-pitched 'waaaw'. Also a high-pitched 'wa-wa'.
