Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland dry grassland and shrubland, dry savanna. From sea-level - 1,000 m.

Range (Guide)

Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan (R Indus plains), and from southern Himalayan foothills east to eastern Bangladesh and south to southern tip of India, also Sri Lanka.

Subspecies
No subspecies.

Relationships uncertain. Sometimes considered to form a superspecies with Fischer's Sparrow-Lark (Eremopterix leucopareia), but often regarded as close to Black-crowned Sparrow-Lark (Eremopterix nigriceps).
