Olive-headed Weaver © biodiversityexplorer.info

May form a superspecies with Usambara Weaver (Ploceus nicolli), and formerly treated as conspecific. Isolated population in southern Mozambique sometimes separated as subspecies vicarius, defined as shorter-winged and paler in coloration than birds farther north, but original description based on an inadequate comparative sample.
