Habitat
Undergrowth of primary upper montane evergreen forest. From 1,600 - 1,700 m, occasionally down to 1,200 m.

Range (Guide)

Vietnam (B) (NB).

Unknown to Laos.

Central highlands of Vietnam, and adjacent southern Laos.

Population
Estimated population is 1,000 - 2,499 (2010).

Status VU
Habitat destruction and degradation may be the main threats.

Voice
Song is a sweet Turdus-like rambling series of fairly well-spaced and stressed notes, with some mimicry, lasting c. 4-6 seconds.
