Habitat
Riverine vegetation of primary and secondary lowland dipterocarp and peatswamp forest, occasionally in rural gardens, paddyfields, orchards, plantations. From sea-level - 1,000 m, occasional to 1,500 m.

Population
Estimated population is 10,000 - 19,999 (2010) and decreasing.
Status CR
Clearance of lowland forest along rivers and trapping for trade are the main threats.

Habits
Usually in pairs or small groups. Forgaes in low bushes near water and occasionally on the ground.
Food
Fruits, berries and occasionally small invertebrates.
Voice
A rich, melodious, far-carrying warble, 'wit-wooti woo', repeated.
