Subtropical and tropical montane moist forest. From 1,500 - 3,500 m.
El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico.
South-eastern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and south-western Honduras.

Estimated population is 20,000 - 49,999 (2010).
