Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
South-eastern Mexico south through Central America and throughout most of northern South America mainly east of the Andes, as far southern as Bolivia and north-eastern Argentina.

Estimated population is 500,000 - 4,999,999 (2010).
