Habitat
Humid forest of the montane and upper tropical forest zones in the Andean foothills, generally remaining below the cloud forest zone. From 700 - 1,400 m.
Forested eastern Andes of Ecuador (southern from northern Sucumbíos and western Napo) and northern Peru (San Martín).
 
Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010).
Status NT
Accelerating deforestation in the Amazon basin through logging, mining, agriculture and road building is the main threat.
