Subspecies
The following 4 subspecies are recognised:

maroccana (Lynes, 1925) - North-eastern Morocco and north-western Algeria.
fulva (Desfontaines, 1789) - Northern Algeria, Tunisia and north-western Libya.
buchanani (Hartert, 1921) - West-central Mauritania and northern Senegal east to southern Algeria and western Chad.
acaciae (Lichtenstein, MHK, 1823) - Northern and eastern Chad, northern and central Sudan, northern Eritrea and northern Ethiopia. Also extreme southern Egypt (at least formerly).
