Habitat
Streams, pools, swamps in forested areas. From sea-level - 1,430 m.

Range (Guide)
Indonesia (B) (NB), Papua New Guinea (B) (NB).

Restricted to New Guinea and some of larger islands adjacent to western coast, including Salawati; Aru Is.

Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.

Population
Estimated population is 2,500 - 9,999 (2010) and decreasing.

Status NT
Loss of habitat through logging is the main threat.
