Subspecies
Has recently been treated in Dryonastes.
The following 4 subspecies are recognised:
albosuperciliaris (Godwin-Austen, 1874) - Southern Assam (northern Cachar), Nagaland and Manipur, in north-eastern India.
comis (Deignan, 1952) - North-eastern and eastern Myanmar, north-western Thailand, northern Laos, north-western Vietnam (western Tonkin) and southern China (western and central Yunnan).
oblectans (Deignan, 1952) - South-central China (south-eastern Gansu and southern Shaanxi south to south-western Sichuan and east to western Hubei and northern Guizhou).
sannio Swinhoe, 1867 - North-eastern Vietnam (eastern Tonkin), and south-eastern China from eastern Yunnan and Guizhou (except north) east to north-eastern Jiangxi and Fujian.
