Habitat
Primary semi-evergreen and evergreen lowland forest, especially in rugged terrain. From sea-level - 1,500 m.

Range (Guide)

Brunei Darussalam (B), Indonesia (B), Malaysia (B), Myanmar (B), Singapore (E), Thailand (B).

Southern Myanmar and southern Thailand through Malay Peninsula to Sumatra and Borneo.

Population
Estimated population is unknown (2010) and decreasing.

Status CR
Habitat loss through illegal logging and conversion to agriculture, hunting are te main threats.

Food
Mostly fruit, especially figs.

Voice
Hoots followed by maniacal laughter.
