Habitat
Subtropical and tropical dry forest. From 950 - 2,100 m.
Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia.
North-western Morocco to north-western Tunisia.

A loud ringing laugh, 'plue, plue, plue', very like the yaffle of the Eurasian Green Woodpecker (Picus viridis ), but perhaps slightly faster
