Habitat
The transition zone between evergreen and semi-deciduous forest.
Liberia (B).
Two forest patches 20 km Nwest of Zwedru, in eastern Liberia.

Population
Estimated population is 250 - 999 (2010) and decreasing.
Status NR
Habitat destruction, degradation and fragmentation through logging and clearance for smallholder agriculture is the main threat.

Habits
Often seen foraging in mixed-species flocks.
Subspecies
No subspecies.
Status unclear. Relationship with Icterine Greenbul (Phyllastrephus icterinus), to which it is identical except for whitish spots on wings, requires investigation.
Similar Species
Very similar to Icterine Greenbul (Phyllastrephus icterinus), but has yellow spots on wings. Much smaller than Yellow-spotted Nicator (Nicator chloris) and has yellow, not greyish, underparts.
